Deal struck to rescue Arran Brewery
From The Scotsman June 19 2008
PRODUCTION at the Arran Brewery could recommence as early as next week after a rescue deal was struck.
Marketing Management Services International (MMSI), a Glasgow-based consultancy firm, has bought the micro-brewery, which makes the Arran Blond and Arran Dark beers.
Gerald Michaluk managing director of MMSI said: "This will make a first-class addition to our familt of businesses. I am looking forward to seeing the brand grow and develop."
Graham Martin and Laurie Mason, from PricewaterhouseCoopers, were appointed as joint administrators of the Arran Brewing Company on 8 May.
Before entering administration, the Arran brewery employed 11 staff and had a turnover of £1 million.
